Shetland is closer to the Arctic Circle than it is to London, and at Britain's most remote hospital a team of doctors and nurses work alongside GPs, paramedics, coastguard, fire & rescue and police to provide emergency and medical care to the islands' 23,000 residents, as well as tourists and offshore workers. Shetland throws up unique challenges for this tight-knit team.
